   Nag Panchami, on the fifth day of Shravan Shukla Paksha, venerates the serpent deities who are guardians of water, earth, and cosmic balance. Milk and flowers are offered at temples and at anthill homes of snakes — a tradition rooted in reverence for all life and ecological harmony.

   Onam

   Wednesday · Shukla Chaturdashi

   Onam, Kerala's harvest festival, celebrates the mythical homecoming of King Mahabali — a golden age ruler whose memory is honoured with ten days of Pookalam (flower carpets), Onam Sadhya (the grand feast), and Vallam Kali (snake boat races). It is a festival of abundance, togetherness, and pride in heritage.
